1. When and where will we meet in San Diego and what time will we return to San Diego so I can start looking for airline tickets?

We will meet at San Diego Airport at 2 PM on Sunday, August 4th. The airport is a convenient meeting place because some will just be arriving and it is pretty close to downtown San Diego. If you arrive early we highly recommend exploring San Diego's Balboa Park, the Aquarium, and its Gas Light district.

We will be dropped off at San Diego Airport at 11 AM on Sunday, August 11. This means you can safely book flights departing at 1 PM.

Please let us know if these meeting and departure times work for you. If not, we will try to accomodate you.

2. Is this a "camping" only, or a "backpacking" workshop?

We will be camping and going for long day hikes. Showers are available at all of our sites.

3. Is there any snorkeling?

Yes. There will be snorkeling so please bring your mask, snorkel and fins. They are not available for rental at all of our sites. It's best to bring your own to be sure of a proper fit. Try them out at a local pool to make sure you get a good seal and are comfortable breathing through a snorkel. It takes only a little bit of practice. We will NOT be scuba diving in our course.

4. I've seen the list of things I need to bring, but it seems rather generic. I'd like a few more specifics, I don't like to carry too much.
