Expedition Upates
30 April, 2005
If you are traveling to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada and have a little extra time, you ought to consider flying in and out of Seattle and then taking the ferry from Seattle to Victoria. It's a beautiful ferry ride and for some route markets might save you a lot of airplane money (Sometimes as much as $500!). The ferry takes about 2.5 hours and costs about $75 roundtrip. You can check the schedule and book the tickets online at:
http://www.victoriaclipper.com/ferry_schedule
You can easily walk from the Victoria ferry terminal to our rendezvous at the British Columbia Provincial Museum.
To get from Seattle's SEATAC international airport to the Seattle Pier 69 (the Seattle-Victoria ferry leaves from here) you can get an inexpensive public transport ($1.50). It takes about 45 minutes. Info on this is available at:
http://www.victoriaclipper.com/transportation_to_pier_69
Bus/Trolley Directions from Sea-Tac Airport To Pier 69
Go outside from SeaTac's baggage claim level and turn right. Walk to the end of terminal and wait at the bus stop. Catch the 194 bus route to downtown, leaving every 15 minutes. Ask your driver for the International Distict Tunnel Station. Also ask for a "transfer" so that you can ride the Trolley for free.
After getting off the bus, take the escalator to the street level. You will be at the intersection of 5th and Jackson. At the Northwest corner of this intersection (remember, the water is West), catch the route 99 trolley - the waterfront streetcar - to Pier 69.

For the last 5 years teaching this course all team members have shared their digital fotos and we burn CD's for everyone with the faculty powerpoints and team digital fotos. They have proven to be useful teaching resources for our participants.

be a remarkable learning experience.
Choo;
David
