We ask each teacher team member to consider voluntarily making a 15 to 60 minute presentation to our team on a topic that is relevant with the content and process learning objectives of the course. We encourage powerpoint presentations (we have a quiet Honda generator, windows 2000 notebook computer, powerpoint and digital projector and screen, please bring both cd and floppy disc for back-up, make sure it works on a windows system) or any other format (including experiential) that you may prefer. Examples of past learning activities have included lectures on AP environmental science, effective use of outdoor and museum centers for achieving standards performance, traditional ecological knowledge in the curriculum, Indigenous resource management, using the environment as an integrating context, specific lesson plans in environmental science, multi-cultural environmental education philosophy and pedagogy, marine wetland ecology lesson plans, critical theory and consumerism in education...best practices in....Please email your idea by me before doing any work on it, just helpful for sequencing...

9. Please tell your family that in case of an emergency they should leave messages at the ELI phone number: 520-731-3374 and also send emails to the ELI email addresses: silverberg@alum.mit.edu and silverberg87571@yahoo.com. Please let them know that you will be off the grid and it may take several days for you to respond.

10. If you have questions I encourage you to direct them to me and I will try to answer them ASAP. Please be aware that I am in the middle of my summer field season, sometimes off the grid and so I ask you to be patient if it takes a few days to get a response from me.

I'm looking forward to meeting you all in Hesquiaht territory. It shall be a remarkable learning experience.
